The Goyen AC Tribo electric EMS4 model measures the movement of solids past a stationary probe and converts this data into an output signal suitable for triggering alarms or for recording flow rates of particulate. When coupled with a practice called "ISOKINETIC TESTING" the output from the EMS4 can be quantified in such terms as "mg/cubic metre".
The device is particularly suitable for detecting broken bags in dust collectors and for monitoring particulate levels in compliance with environmental regulation.
The EMS4 "ACTIVE HEAD" design eliminates the traditional problems associated with systems using coaxial cable. Coaxial cable is costly and, under certain circumstances, vibration can cause electrical noise (microphonic), which interfere with the low level signals.
