Solenoid operated valves can be used to control the flow of liquids or gases. Goyen manufactures and distributes valves specifically designed for the control of gas, fuel, air, water or steam in two principal configurations - Direct Lift and Pilot Assisted.

Direct Lift valves function by the movement of a plunger which directly opens or closes the valve as the sealing disc is attached to the plunger. These valves will operate from zero pressure differential to their maximum rated pressure.

Pilot Assisted valves are equipped with a diaphragm or piston which provides the seal for the main valve orifice. They are available either as floating diaphragm or coupled diaphragm models and are used to handle much greater flow or pressure requirements than direct acting valves.
