There are many applications where a plastic bodied valve offers an advantage. Considerations such as weight, cost or, particularly, corrosion or contamination resistance, may indicate the specification of plastic or PTFE valves.

Goyen plastic bodied solenoid valves were originally developed to control the hot or cold water supplies to domestic and commercial washing machines. However, they have since found much wider use in many other industrial and manufacturing applications.

Goyen's large range of plastic and PTFE Normally Closed solenoid valves are manufactured from the highest quality materials, and therefore have the same high tolerances as all Goyen valves. Internal components, using materials such as stainless steel, brass, teflon, viton and reinforced rubber, are designed to complement and enhance the corrosion or contamination resistance of each valve in its specific application environment.
